Technique - Advanced Hip Circles
These technique classes are designed to help you learn and refine belly dance technique. The level and focus will change monthly.
All classes will include detailed verbal breakdown and demonstration, and we will drill with the aim of building muscle memory as we work with good form and posture. Each technique will studied over 3 months - one month with a beginner focus, one month with intermediate focus and one month with an advanced focus.
Beginner - basic technique will be taught introducing the shape or pathway in its most basic form. We’ll work with stationary drills mostly, with some simple footwork (like weight shifts and walking).
Intermediate - I’ll assume the basic technique feels ‘okay’ in your body, so we’ll increase speed and bring slightly more complex foot patterns into play. We’ll also start layering basics, as well as adding arm pathways, levels changes and directional changes.
Advanced - We’ll work with more complicated foot patterns, layering, altering timings, starting places, adding 3 dimensionality.

Technique - Beginner Hip Circles
These technique classes are designed to help you learn and refine belly dance technique. The level and focus will change monthly.
All classes will include detailed verbal breakdown and demonstration, and we will drill with the aim of building muscle memory as we work with good form and posture. Each technique will studied over 3 months - one month with a beginner focus, one month with intermediate focus and one month with an advanced focus.
Beginner - basic technique will be taught introducing the shape or pathway in its most basic form. We’ll work with stationary drills mostly, with some simple footwork (like weight shifts and walking).
Intermediate - I’ll assume the basic technique feels ‘okay’ in your body, so we’ll increase speed and bring slightly more complex foot patterns into play. We’ll also start layering basics, as well as adding arm pathways, levels changes and directional changes.
Advanced - We’ll work with more complicated foot patterns, layering, altering timings, starting places, adding 3 dimensionality.
When: 3rd, 4th & 5th Wednesdays of the month
Time: 6-7 pm ET
Perfect for: Beginner is suitable for those without any or much belly dance training. All levels with any experience are welcome in any level.
Wonderful for those wanting to refine and polish their current technique skills.
